Paranormal Research Association of Boston

Who are the PRAB?

The Paranormal Research Association of Boston is a team of scientific paranormal researchers coming from all walks of life. We are dedicated to the research of all claimed paranormal experiences with a three fold mission.

1. Above all, to help people who are suffering from paranormal experiences in their residences / places of work

2. To further our, and as a consequence the public at large, understanding of paranormal activity through logical, verifiable scientific means.

3. Through presentations, classes and our published research papers, to give the public an understanding of both paranormal activity and the methods we use to locate and test paranormal activity.

We use both tried and tested methods along with cutting edge technology / theory, developed in-house and from the community, to further our knowledge and research techniques. In turn this enhances the service we give to our clients.

We do not now, and will never charge any business or person for our services. We remain not-for-profit and privately funded by our members.

The PRAB was formed in 2008 when the founder of the Paranormal Research Association of Ireland, one of Ireland's top associations, moved to the US. We remain in close contact with the PRAI, and our other national and international affiliates. This again enhances the service we can provide, as we have access to a massive, worldwide knowledge sharing network.

History of Location:

USA Today reports Be prepared for strange knocks at your door at unexpected hours. "Guests who stay in the Adelaide Room are likely to have contact with the mysterious woman and her two children who once lived at the inn, built in 1754." From this national historic inn, you can take a ghoulish tour of St. James Cemetery, circa 1750. Or tour the forsaken Cemetery No. 17, dating from the 1600s. (1)

Their website says Captain Grant's Inn was originally built by Captain William Gonzales Grant in 1754 for his wife Mercy Adelaide Avery. Grant died at sea, while Mercy lived into her 80's and the home continued to house three generations of the Grant Family. During the Revolutionary War, soldiers used the home as a Garrison, and during the Civil War, the home protected runaway slaves. A major restoration took place from 1994 through 1996. Today, the Inn stands restored to its original grandeur and prominence in this national Historic Village.

We think this will be a wonderful place to spend a night in a picturesque location, and to be able to join in a real investigation with a well known paranormal team which has been in operation over a decade. A fun, exciting and leaning experience.
